Congratulations to my good friend Scott Riley and the whole Inside Agent team, who’ve just announced that Inside Agent Is Now Part of Huntress.

Kyle Alspach has breakdown over at CRN, but I wanted to share a few personal thoughts.

Who are Inside Agent?

If you’ve not come across them yet, Inside Agent (IA) is a brilliant identity security posture platform for Managed Service Providers, focused on tightening and simplifying Microsoft 365 security.

I last interviewed Scott in August for TubbTalk, where we dug into Smarter MSPs, Microsoft 365 & The Future of Managed Services.

What most people didn’t know is that I quietly joined Inside Agent as an advisor earlier this year, alongside the work I’ve been doing with Huntress in the UK.

We were actually going to announce this role in September… and then I closed the chapter on Tubblog, and the Huntress deal landed, and the timing was never quite right. So here we are! 🙂

Huntress and Inside Agent

Huntress acquires Inside AgentThis acquisition is a smart, strategic move from Huntress.

Identity has become the weak point for so many MSPs, and the IA approach fills a genuine gap.

It’s also a huge testament to the work Scott and the team have put in. Anyone who knows Scott knows he’s one of the kindest, sharpest and hardest-working people in our industry.

I’m genuinely excited for what comes next. Huntress and Inside Agent are a natural fit, and I can’t wait to see what they build together.
